My personal experience of hip resurfacing now approaches 300 operations.

I have recently carried out a review of the first six-year cohort of 207 procedures from January 2002. This is a substantial single surgeon experience with excellent data capture and follow-up.

Survivorship analysis shows class-leading results with a failure rate of 0.5% at a mean of 39 months.

Papers have been accepted for national and international presentation during 2009 and publication in the Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery.

Benchmarking my results against the cross-sectional data published by the National Joint Registry gives a personal ranking well within the top performing 2.5% of surgeons nationally.
